Welcome to the last post on our mini blog hop!
I learned a lot this summer holiday. I learned that you sometimes need to ignore your fears and take the bull by the horns, that the more you do something the easier it gets, that most of the time when you think you won’t manage, you do and that having support when you work alone is priceless.
Two months ago I decided to collaborate with Believe Creative Studio as a guest designer – as part of a group of 17. Our designs would be selling at Indigo Paris 2012. It took me a while to get rid of the worries as it would be my first ‘real-life’ experience as a surface pattern designer and I dreaded failure. Now I can say, I’m glad I did!
What made this such a wonderful experience was the amazing support, feedback and camaraderie that I found from Rosie (BCS’s founder) and the other 16 designers. This is a little homage to all of them. Do visit some of their blogs/websites to see for yourselves what a lovely and talented bunch they are:
Bethania Lima
Miranda Mol
Rosie Martinez-Dekker
Eva Marion Seyffarth
Anna Berger
Bethan Janine Westran
Jacqueline van Roosmalen
Justine Aldersey-Williams
Phyllida Coroneo
Virginia Kamau
Unfortunately, I don’t have links for Leslie Doughty, Nicola Griffiths, Sue Cashman, Laura Palacios, Becky Holmes and Silvia Micalizo who were part of the group as well.
Please come to Paris and see all the lovely work this fantastic group has created, you won’t be disappointed!

Hola Verónica. he estado viendo tu blog y veo que eres una persona muy creativa y con ideas muy interesantes. Ya me pasaré por aquí en otras ocasiones. ¡Un saludo desde España!
Thanks Leslie, Maraya and Phyllida! I’m glad you enjoyed the post and the very rushed paper dolls pattern… See you around!
Lovely post. Thank you for the link in to my blog. Have a lovely time in Paris. Sorry I can’t meet you all this time. x
Congratulations! It’s pretty great when you actually feel like surface-designer fits as a ‘real’ title hey? Did you sell any work? xx
Very nice post Veronica. Your pattern with the paperdolls is great, very simple and shows off the idea of our connection and unity quite well. I’ve enjoyed seeing your designs through this process and I wish you great success at Indigo & beyond!

Absolutely well written and gorgeous post, Vero. And I love the well deserved title of Queen of Colours that you received from Anna. The ladies pattern also put a smile on my face! Well done, dear.
