Almost 3 years ago some of my work got chosen to be featured in The Pattern Base book, a fabulous project dreamed up by Kristi O’Meara from ‘The PatternBase’ blog. You can read the original post here.
‘The Pattern Base: Over 550 contemporary textile and surface designs’ is a book, as it name suggests, crammed with beautiful full-colour images of textile, surface & print designs by over 150 artists and designers from all around the world. It’s a collection of gorgeousness and delight!
My designer profile can now be found on the Utelier designer directory. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then I will let the Utelier team explain in their own words what they’re all about:
The utelier.com platform is a directory, an educational resource and a marketplace combined. It helps new and established designers and retailers find other designers, manufacturers, suppliers and experts worldwide whom they can work with; and in turn utelier.com brings contacts and clients to businesses whom until now heavily relied on word of mouth marketing.
I think the project sounds very interesting and I’m quite excited about the possibilities. It’s definitely something that we need in the industry, a big online hub for all fashion makers to come together and create fabulous products!
I know, I know, I’ve been nonexistent for a long time, neglecting the blog … Shameful! I do have some excuses, in fact loads of them, like loads of design work, family health problems, my own health problems, a half-a-year house extension building nightmare and its aftermath… I could continue endlessly. But the most exciting excuse, that might interest my lovely readers, is the building and launching of my new portfolio website, www.verogalbraith.co.uk!
