Hello there, long time no see! I really hope this post finds you happy and healthy…
I took a little break from the blog while my brain, my body and my soul adapted somewhat to this new way of living. My mushy-fluffy brain seems to be on the mend now, so I thought I’d just pop in personally to check on you, tell you where I’m at and a few other (random but relevant) thoughts. I also have a little gift for you (a free printable and digital wallpapers), to cheer you up if you ever need it!
So here I am, rambling away, but from the heart! Please forgive the accent and other language mishaps… I do really try my best ;-)
And as I mentioned before, I created an A4 free printable with a lovely quote that I found a few weeks back when I really needed it. I love its positivity and how true it is. It’s difficult to see how a negative situation can bring any good when you’re in the thick of it, but you can almost certainly find the silver lining when looking back.
I also threw in a couple of wallpapers for your computer and mobile so you can keep this message top of mind. I really hope it brings a bit of happiness and optimism to your day!
You can get the free printable and wallpapers by filling the little box below with your email.
If you don’t see the download box below please try turning off any ad blocker on your browser temporarily or try using another browser!
If you do download the pressie, I’d love for you to share with me some images of the print on your wall or the wallpapers on your devices! You can share them on Instagram using #youvebeenplanted and tag me @republicofhappy so I get alerted…
Also, do let me know, how are you coping with the current situation? Have your creativity, focus and/or motivation been affected by it all? Do you have any strategies or mindsets that have helped you ride this wave more easily? Would love for you to share your thoughts… Lots of love X
Hey Veronica, an inspiring video. Lots of designers are at home and unable to focus on designing, hope this article will help several surface designers. We have even shared this article to our global readers. Nice one, keep it up!
Hi Nathan, so glad you liked the post, that makes me really happy! And thank you for sharing it, that’s awesome :-) Where did you share it so I can have a peek?
Been quarantining at home when not at work.
At home I’m experimenting with taking paper shopping bags and making 3D shapes with them and painting on them. After shaping these I hang them up with invisible spider line.
Good way to break out of a creative block.
Beth Redmond
That’s awesome Beth! It sounds to me like you’re properly exercising those creative muscles :-) As long as you find your joy that’s all that matters!
Hi Veronica
I started to follow your blog for a couple of years ago and looked at it here and there. I love your colorful work. I´m happy to meet you in this video. I think it’s brave to do it and your example gives me some courage and inspiration to do the same one day. So thanks a lot
Thanks so much for your message Katja, it made me really happy! I’m also glad that I could give you the inspiration to put yourself out there. It’s a bit hard at the beginning but it gets easier… And, it doesn’t have to be perfect (which is what I kept telling myself being the perfectionist that I am). Just do it! ;-)
I love your creativity and I always look forward to receiving your emails. Great video message. It’s always wonderful to see the artist behind the work.
Wow Mark, you just made my day! I love getting messages like this, they make absolutely everything worth it! So happy you enjoy the emails, the blog and even my very unprofessional videos ;-)
