Today I have for you a pattern workshop run by designer and artist Jessica Swift. So, if you’ve been wanting to dip your toes in the wonderful world of surface pattern design, this is your chance.
Pattern Camp is a virtual, online 2-day, weekend-long pattern design workshop taught by full-time artist and surface pattern designer, Jessica Swift. Participants will leave the workshop with the confidence and skills to create their own beautiful repeat patterns using both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Jessica Swift is a full-time artist, surface pattern designer, and author living in Portland, OR. Her colourful artwork is licensed for a variety of products including iPhone cases, fabric, stationery, rugs, and wellies. Her book The Crafter’s Guide to Patterns was published in Spring 2015.
The workshop will be delivered as videos, tutorials, written posts and live Q+As. You’ll have access to the website and all the lessons for one month and can work through the lessons at your own pace, so no need to be there on the actual workshop weekend.
The next Pattern Camp will be on Saturday & Sunday, January 30-31, 2016 and registration is open now. The cost of the course is $239 USD.
Visit the Pattern Camp website for more information and to register.
