I finally opened my Society6 shop!
You can now buy some very lovely products featuring some of my surface designs. And I think, if I may say so, that they look fantastic!
Issue 2 of Moyo magazine is out now!
Moyo is the world’s first magazine dedicated to surface pattern design, brought to you by the founders of The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design and Make it in Design, Beth Nicholls and Rachael Taylor (Moyo is Japanese for ‘pattern’ and is pronounced mo-yor). Best of all, it’s completely free. Read on…
In September I went to Paris to visit Indigo – a creative textile and surface design show.
My designs made it to the show through a collaboration with Believe Creative Studio and I couldn’t resist the temptation to go and have a peek. It was very exciting to be part of an international show like this.
Welcome to the last post on our mini blog hop!
I learned a lot this summer holiday. I learned that you sometimes need to ignore your fears and take the bull by the horns, that the more you do something the easier it gets, that most of the time when you think you won’t manage, you do and that having support when you work alone is priceless.
I have, at last, sent my designs to Believe Creative Studio, as Rosie (the studio’s founder) is getting ready now for the big day!
After 6 weeks of very hard work and not much ‘Summer Holiday’, I managed to put together a nice bunch of patterns for the Believe Creative Studio collection for Indigo Paris 2012. (Click here if you want to read the full story).
Now Rosie, me and other 15 lovely guest designers will have to wait and see if our designs manage to attract the crowd.
Wish us good luck and if you are around Paris on 19th-21st September do pop in!
