Almost 3 years ago some of my work got chosen to be featured in The Pattern Base book, a fabulous project dreamed up by Kristi O’Meara from ‘The PatternBase’. You can read the original post here.
‘The Pattern Base: Over 550 contemporary textile and surface designs’ is a book, as it name suggests, crammed with beautiful full-colour images of textile, surface & print designs by over 150 artists and designers from all around the world. It’s a collection of gorgeousness and delight!
Equal parts inspirational guide, reference title, and visual feast… The book artfully showcases the creative work produced in textile today and serves as a solid resource for aspiring designers. – Publishers Weekly
The book is divided into 2 parts. Part one is organised by type of pattern: Geometric, Florals, Representational, Digital, Abstract, Illustrative, and Fabric Swatches. Part two presents the profiles of 13 featured artists.
It’s been a long wait, but one well worth it. Kristi had a huge task on her hands and I’m sure she went through loads of sweat and tears in the process, but the end product is a fabulous piece that surely deserves a spot on your shelves or coffee table.
Here I’m sharing the pages I feature in… I’ll leave the rest for you to discover in your own time. Go get your copy now from Amazon!
